SmartTruck: Good for the industry. Good for the environment.
The components that comprise all three SmartTruck Aero Systems are EPA SmartWay Verified and C.A.R.B. Compliant.
EPA SmartWayTM Transport Partnership
EPA’s SmartWay Transport Partnership is an innovative collaboration between EPA and the freight sector, designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions, and improve energy security.
Companies that participate in SmartWay save money, reduce fuel consumption and are recognized for their social responsibility and leadership. SmartWay Partners integrate advanced fuel-saving technology and best fleet practices to continually improve their energy efficiency and profitability.
EPA’s SmartWay program has verified the fuel savings and emission benefits of the components that comprise our Classic, Premier, and TopKit Aero Systems. As a result, our verified aero systems are C.A.R.B. compliant for use in the state of California.
C.A.R.B. Heavy-Duty Vehicle Program
Starting in 2010, the California Air Resources Board (C.A.R.B.) Heavy-Duty Vehicle Greenhouse Gas Regulation requires motor carriers that operate 53’ dry van trailers to install EPA SmartWay-approved aerodynamic devices and low rolling resistance tires.
SmartTruck trailer aerodynamic products exceed the performance requirements for C.A.R.B. and EPA SmartWay compliance. More importantly for your bottom line, the actual return on your investment in SmartTruck products will motivate you to go well past C.A.R.B.’s fleet phase-in requirements. Whether you want to simply comply with the C.A.R.B. requirements or want to maximize your fuel savings, SmartTruck is the right choice for your trailer or fleet.
