Stephen S. Ingham, Jr.

Chief Executive Officer

Steve Ingham has amassed more than 20 years of experience in executive leadership positions prior to his appointment in 2014 as the CEO of SmartTruck. Respected as a transformative leader whose management approach has proven effective across a wide range of industries, Steve has continually displayed a talent for developing strong customer relationships and for managing complex product distribution. In driving Fortune 500 corporations and private/investor-backed companies to achieve breakthrough results and sustainable EBITDA performance, Steve has distinguished himself as a highly effective senior executive who can easily navigate the market demands within numerous business disciplines, including industrial/equipment components, fast-moving consumer goods and luxury lifestyle products.

A graduate of Memphis State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Steve has completed executive education sequences at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and at Harvard University, as well as extensive productivity, quality and performance leadership development programs from industry-leading organizations.

Charles G. Nichols

Chief Financial Officer

Charlie joined SmartTruck in 2015, bringing 25 years of diverse experience across a number of industries and financial and executive functions.

After beginning his career as a successful commercial lender, Charlie’s work at a $4 billion automotive supplier included an IPO on the NYSE, multiple M&A transactions, and European expansion. He has had significant operational finance experience in a variety of manufacturing operations, and has led hundreds of millions of dollars in financing rounds, from start-up equity to investment-grade debt at a Fortune 50 energy company.

He has been CFO at both public and private equity companies, and headed investor relations at an NYSE technology manufacturer before serving as COO of an investment management firm.

Charlie holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a BA in Economics from Duke University.

John Brown

Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

John Brown joined SmartTruck as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in March 2017. He is responsible for expanding SmartTruck’s leadership position as the trucking industry’s innovative leader in fuel-saving aerodynamic systems. As a natural born leader focused on the principles of dedication and commitment, John oversees all marketing and sales activities, including driving marketplace awareness of the SmartTruck brand and products, and new customer acquisition.

John came to SmartTruck following several years as National Sales Director at a national after-market truck parts provider for the heavy trucking industry. His professional career began in the U.S. Marine Corps where he most recently served as a Corporal and Squad Leader in Iraq.

John is a graduate of William Jessup University and currently pursuing his MBA at Liberty University.

Austin Corbin

Vice President of Supply Chain

Austin Corbin joined SmartTruck in 2014, bringing extensive experience within the Transportation and Appliance industries in both Operational and Strategic roles.

His previous experience includes positions at Viking Range (Commodity Manager, Procurement Analyst) and Werner Enterprises (Fleet Manager.) Austin has led and implemented many Supply Chain initiatives that have generated increased operational efficiencies and significant COGS reductions.

At SmartTruck, Austin has overall responsibility for the supply chain, including Supplier Relations, Warehouse Operations, Transportation, and Order Fulfillment functions.

He holds a BSBA from the University of Arkansas and a MBA from Mississippi State University.

Austin Corbin

Vice President of Supply Chain

Austin Corbin joined SmartTruck in 2014, bringing extensive experience within the Transportation and Appliance industries in both Operational and Strategic roles.

Semir Kapetanovic

Vice President of Research and Engineering

Semir leads SmartTruck’s aerodynamic design team in both innovating and refining SmartTruck’s aero products, as well as strengthening and validating our rigorous testing and validation protocols. As a member of the senior management team, he also oversees SmartTruck’s relationships and collaboration with external partners such as Oak Ridge National Laboratory, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga SimCenter, and others.

Joining SmartTruck in 2018, Semir brings seventeen years of experience from aero-related engineering roles at General Electric. While at GE Global Research, and later at GE Power, Semir held increasingly senior positions in developing best practices for modeling and specifically for CFD design system processes focused on turbo-machinery and combustion technology.

With his successful track record in engineering software, methods and best practices development, Semir will be leading SmartTruck’s pioneering efforts to raise the bar forward in trailer aerodynamics.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from City University of New York City College, and a Master’s Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, both in Mechanical Engineering.
